On June 14, the 3rd International Conference on "Vietnamese Journalism and Communication Economy in the Context of Digital Economy Development" was held in Hanoi, Vietnam. Our school delegation, including Professor Wang Shiyong, Professor Li Qingli, Professor Ding Cheng, Associate Professor Li Kai, Associate Professor Dang Qiong, and Lecturer Su Qi, was invited to attend the conference. Professor Wang Shiyong was invited to give a keynote report at the conference.
Professor Wang Shiyong's report, titled "China's Digital Economy Policies Based on Common Prosperity: A Communication Studies Perspective," explores China's digital economy policies based on common prosperity from three aspects: First, the function of digital economy policies and common prosperity. Second, policy exploration of promoting common prosperity through digital economy development in China. Third, how China's digital economy policies allow millions of people to share the "digital intelligence dividends." Professor Wang proposes that the digital economy, as a new economic form, drives the comprehensive digital transformation, facilitating the efficient flow of production factors, the sharing of quality resources, and the equalization of basic public services. Digital economy policies enhance the real economy through digital technology, addressing issues of unbalanced and inadequate development, and enabling all people to share the dividends of the digital era. Digital technology has deeply integrated into daily life, driving the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, expanding the scale of e-commerce, online marketing, and digital entertainment, ultimately improving people's happiness and quality of life.
This international conference was jointly organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The conference aimed to bring together experts and scholars from around the world to discuss the impact of the digital economy on the journalism and media industry, share successful experiences, and propose specific solutions suitable for the development of Vietnam's journalism and media economy.
